Compensation:$1,000 - $3,000 per week
Responsibilities:- Establish processes for tracking diagnostics and system repairs, maintaining up-to-date manufacturer specifications, and more
- Follow a checklist-based approach to comprehensively examine all vehicle systems, such as the engine, transmission, air conditioning, and brake systems
- Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business
- Use diagnostic equipment, technical expertise, and the vehicle’s integrated diagnostic systems to identify and determine the cause of malfunction codes
- Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Duramax-equipped Chevrolet and GMC vehicles
- Complete all diesel-related maintenance, repairs, and warranty work according to GM specifications
- Inspect, identify, and communicate vehicle service needs to advisors clearly and professionally
- Utilize GM factory tools, scan equipment, and technical resources to ensure proper repair procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety guidelines
- Document all work performed in accordance with dealership and GM standards
- Stay current with GM training, bulletins, and diesel technology updates
- Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow
- Deliver high-quality workmanship and uphold Maxie Price Chevrolet’s customer service standards
- GED or high school diploma is mandatory
- Previous diesel technician experience required (Duramax experience preferred)
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills
- GM certification or willingness to complete GM training modules
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic reports
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume shop
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently or as part of a team
