What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Manager position at Maxi Seal Harness Systems?
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Manufacturing Manager at our Harness division. The Manufacturing Manager, under the direction of the Executive Vice President of Operations, coordinates the efforts of the entire production operation. In this capacity, the Manufacturing Manager manages the Production staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinating and directing Peterson’s production activities in Assembly, so that they properly support the corporations’ objectives and at the same time cultivate a teamwork culture in which everyone is engaged
· Overseeing the professional and personal training and development of the organization’s supervisor, by establishing goals and objectives and monitoring their attainment
· Recommending the purchase of capital equipment needed to support approved projects that are derived from the overall corporate business plan
· Using forecast data to establish/monitor Peterson’s production plan and capacity planning activities and making modifications to these plans based on work requirements
· Monitoring the organization’s inventories against the business plan and assisting in the establishment of inventory policies
· Ensures processes are in compliance with all regulatory requirements and all reasonable efforts are taken to provide a safe and healthy work environment
The qualified candidate will have a proven ability to work directly with supervision staff to improve communication and leadership skills as well as foster a positive team oriented environment. The candidate will also have understanding of production processes and the ability to recommend the purchase of manufacturing equipment, as well as the ability to identify and eliminate waste.
Must have a bachelor of Arts or Science degree, or equivalent, in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Processing a plus, 8 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with wire harness experience a plus, and experience in all production areas.
