What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant - Bradenton position at MAXhealth?
MaxHealth is looking to hire a Full-time Licensed Outpatient Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work in 2 of our outpatient Bradenton locations to provide superior care helping patients improve their movement and manage their pain from chronic conditions or injuries.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant: you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement the treatment plan and provide high quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery. Educate and assist patients in proper form and technique and progression of exercise, manual therapy and neuromuscular re-education. Document daily progress notes in EMR and report to PT with any updates and changes and provide quality care while seeing patients one on one.
Locations: Bradenton- 2 days a week Manatee Ave W and 3 days week 53rd Ave
Pay Range: $28/hr to $35/hr
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT
· Have completed professional degree
· Hold a valid physical therapist assistant license
· Be proficient in modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation
· Strong communication and customer service skills at all levels of interaction
· Knowledge of medical terminology Computer Skills (Preferably experience with EMR/EHR)
· Ability to Multi-Task and prioritize
· Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment
