What are the responsibilities and job description for the 3rd Shift - Finish Grind - Magnetic Cylinders position at Maxcess International?
Primary Responsibility:
Sets up and operates CNC Grinder – machines/inspects parts per drawing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sets up machine – change wheels, installs bearings.
- Downloads program via computer.
- Make offsets to maintain part dimension tolerance. Responsible for ensuring each part is made within designated specifications.
- Inspects parts using precision measuring instruments – micrometers – calipers – depth micrometers bore gages – plug gages.
- Follows all Safety instructions and practices.
- Follows work instructions in place.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Good mechanical skills.
- Basic machine shop practices
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Basic math skills.
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Trade School or pervious machine shop experience preferred
Physical requirements
- Able to lift 35 lbs. on occasion
- Stand for extended periods - 2 hour periods
- Some overtime required
