General Description:
The House Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the home and is responsible for ensuring that consumers residing in the home receive the appropriate care and training. Services and supports provided to consumers will be consistent with the agency’s vision/mission.
Job Hours:
40 hours depending on needs of the facility Saturday - Friday. Flexibility & On-call required.
Job Duties Include:
- Provide for adequate supervision of consumers in home at all times by supervising staff, developing staffing schedule for coverage, and covering shifts when temporary staff are not available.
- Assist Residential Coordinator in developing training programs for consumers, ensure the training programs are implemented as they relate to Facilitated and Behavior Support Plans.
- Assure that appointments for physical examinations, eye, and dental examinations; Tuberculin skin test, labs, etc., are scheduled and obtained on schedule.
- Insures that medical supplies, medication, household supplies are sufficient and current.
- Carries cell phone during working hours and other times as needed, depending upon needs of homes/service area and on call requirements.
- Monitor budget of program area and stays within budget on each line item. Set up procedures within the home to monitor supply usage and control spending in this area.
- Management of Consumer Funds.
Minimum Training and Experience:
Must have a high school diploma or GED and three years experience in a program for the developmentally disabled or equivalent combination and experience.
Must have a valid North/South Carolina Driver’s License. Must be at least twenty-one years of age.
