We are looking for a Slitter Machine Operator for our Concord, NC facility.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all company safety rules and workplace conduct requirements
- Set up and runs a slitter/rewinder inspection machine
- Perform routine slitter/rewinder machine maintenance
- Monitor the entire slitting/rewinding process to ensure quality and count accuracy
- Assist in training other individuals and team members when required
- Maintain and adhere to safety standards and perform housekeeping duties
- Perform other duties as required
- Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction
- Adhere to all IFS PacSecure policies and procedures, including product safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Qualifications/Skills Required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in print finishing or gluing operations preferred
- Prior slitter machine operation experience preferred
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work individually or in a team environment
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts - days, afternoons, midnights, & split shift
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction
Physical Requirements
- Safely and effectively handle objects weighing between 30-50 pounds on a consistent basis, with the capability to lift more if required
- Stand for extended periods
- Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Sustain physical endurance for fast-paced work
- Operate and work near machinery safely
