- Monitor the parts inventory and anticipate parts needs for timely ordering.
- Receive and fill telephone orders for parts by interacting with customers to identify their needs.
- Ensure correct parts selection by consulting catalogs and other references.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the parts inventory.
- Supply technicians with the necessary parts effectively and efficiently.
- Follow up on back-ordered parts and ensure customers are informed about the status of their orders.
- Complete and process paperwork related to parts deliveries, returns and warranty claims.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in automotive or heavy equipment parts counter or related role is critical.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; further education in a relevant field is desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory software and order processing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to discuss technical specifics with customers and staff.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, bend, reach, and kneel.
