Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's receivables, ensuring accurate and timely billing, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial software, and excellent communication skills to support our revenue cycle management processes across various industries, including healthcare, non-profit, and corporate sectors.

Duties

• Manage and process accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
• Prepare and send invoices in accordance with contractual terms and company policies.
• Follow up on overdue accounts through negotiation and effective communication to facilitate collections.
• Collaborate with other departments including accounts payable, medical billing, revenue cycle management, and customer service to resolve discrepancies.
• Conduct analysis of accounts receivable aging reports to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.

Experience

• Proven experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles within public accounting, healthcare (medical collection, CPT coding, ICD-10), or non-profit organizations.
• Excellent negotiation skills combined with professional phone etiquette for effective client communication.
• Ability to perform data entry efficiently while maintaining high accuracy levels (10 key typing). Pay: $ $20.00 per hour
