Duties
- Supervise and care for children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
- Assist with toddler care, infant care, preschool activities, and behavior management strategies
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by providing tailored care and encouragement
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid and CPR protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, needs, or concerns
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any signs of neglect or abuse promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, classroom settings, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages
- Certification in first aid and CPR from an accredited organization
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or children with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to manage behavior effectively and implement positive discipline techniques
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Strong teaching experience with young children or classroom experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude toward caregiving
