DEPARTMENT: 501 - BAR
REPORTS TO: Bar Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Hourly/Non-Exempt
WORK HOURS: Varies; Day, Swing and Graveyard
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 year or older.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills, and hold a high standard for guest service.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
- Must be alcohol awareness certified within 3 months of hire.
- Ability to register and pass background check requirements with the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Commission.
- Ability to perform essential duties as outlined below.
- Must be free of any illegal substances.
- Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous manner and professional manner.
- Must be detail orientated while multitasking.
- Must comply with Max Casino policies and procedures.
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: 100% indoor, frequent loud noise level, with cigar and cigarette smoke.
Team members must be able to go from working in a slow pace to working in a fast paced environment very quickly and without hesitation.

- Must communicate professionally and effectively with all guests.
- Walk the casino floor and offer drinks to all guests playing slot machines.
- Must be able to know and offer all drinks available to guests.
- Must check for identification from all guests that look under the age of 30.
- Pick up empty glasses/cups from guests and return them to the bar for cleaning.
- Make fresh coffee as needed for guests for any time of the day.
- Monitor and replenish drink garnish when running low/as needed to provide fresh garnish for all guests.
- Follow local and state laws regarding alcohol serving.
- Maintain and balance a $100.00 bank.
- Promote positive and thoughtful interactions with our guests
- Assist guests with issues and call for assistance as needed.
- Place food orders when requested by guests.
- Assist bartenders with cleaning and restocking of supplies.
- Assist with any other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Sitting: Typically 1 hour in an 8 hour shift.
Standing: 2 ½ hours in an 8 hour shift. Alternates continuously with walking.
Walking: 4 ½ hours in an 8 hour shift. Alternates continuously with standing.
