Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, height, weight, and temperature
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits
- Support documentation of patient encounters accurately using EPIC (Electronic Health Records) and ensure proper medical records management
- Facilitate patient education on treatment plans, medication instructions, and follow-up care while demonstrating excellent patient service skills
- Manage administrative duties including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations, including handling and updating medical records efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role
- Familiarity with EPIC for electronic health records management and documentation accuracy
- Experience working in pediatrics or urgent care preferred
- Strong understanding of medical assisting procedures
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in medical records and documentation
