Maweh Solutions is seeking a patient, dependable, and engaging Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized after-school support to a school-aged child in McCordsville, Indiana.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in special education, behavioral support, or working with children with autism and developmental disabilities. The role involves structured activities, community participation, skill development, and consistent supervision in a supportive, person-centered environment.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 3:00 PM–8:00 PM.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
Requirements:Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, or other special needs is strongly preferred.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) experience, special education, paraprofessional, or school-based support experience is a plus.
- Must demonstrate exceptional patience, compassion, reliability, and the ability to maintain a calm, positive environment.
- Ability to follow structured routines, individualized support plans, and positive behavioral strategies.
- Must be attentive and capable of providing continuous supervision, including following safety protocols for children at risk of wandering or elopement.
- Must enjoy engaging children in educational, recreational, physical, and community-based activities.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be comfortable accompanying the child to scheduled activities.
- Must be a non-smoker.
- Must be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- Must successfully complete required background checks, CPR/First Aid certification, HCSP training, and other applicable onboarding requirements.
- Must be able to maintain accurate service documentation and comply with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the family and care coordination team are essential.
