Mawcrete Concrete is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher who takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail. We specialize in residential and light commercial concrete projects throughout Central Illinois, including driveways, patios, sidewalks, garage floors, shop floors, and concrete slabs.
We're looking for someone who can lead by example, work efficiently with a crew, and consistently deliver a professional finished product. If you're dependable, motivated, and take pride in your craft, we'd love to have you on our team.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand project layouts and elevations
- Set forms, check grade, and prepare job sites
- Place, screed, bull float, edge, joint, broom, and hand-finish concrete
- Perform smooth, broom, and specialty finishes
- Monitor concrete set times and finishing conditions
- Operate power trowels, saws, and other finishing equipment
- Ensure projects meet Mawcrete's quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Train and assist less experienced crew members when needed
Qualifications
- 3 years of concrete finishing experience preferred
- Ability to finish residential and commercial flatwork with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of grades, slopes, and concrete placement techniques
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing high-quality work
