Mavis Tire & Brakes are hiring a business analyst to join our technology team. This individuals’ main tasks would include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing some quality assurance testing. To succeed in this role, the individual should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
Responsibilities
- Identify workflows that can be improved to increase efficiency and strengthen business processes.
- Organize meetings and collaborate between Project Managers and Leadership to determine priorities and Subject Matter Expert areas of focus.
- Assist in analyzing and developing business requirements, keeping track of tasks, working with Subject Matter Experts to develop timelines, and seeing projects through to completion.
- Analyze data and develop reports providing insight into business performance, trends, and opportunities helping stakeholders make informed decisions and drive continuous improvements.
- Identify, assess, and document risk associated with proposed solutions and changes; work with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure all changes to existing infrastructure, data and applications are reviewed, approved, and tested via Change Control.
- Assist with managing changes to project scope, schedule, and costs. Documenting and collecting useful information for use in Knowledge Base, Auditing, or Change Management.
- Create and maintain extensive project documentation including but not limited to graphs, charts, diagrams, knowledge base and OKRs.
- Ensure the project is managed within the guidelines set by IT policies with Security and Compliance at the forefront.
- Perform other related duties and / or projects as directed by IT Management.
- Position expected to work onsite with potential for hybrid work.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- BA in an IT related discipline with minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field;
- Or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience;
- Or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Relevant Experience Required
- Experience in an IT Business Analyst role
- Ability to analyze data and develop detailed reports
- Understanding of Information Technology, prior experience with any two (2) of the following: Networking, Engineering, Security, Cloud Platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), or SDLC is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with Stakeholders, Subject Matter Experts, and Leadership clearly and effectively
- Turning abstract requests into workflows, timelines and tasks
Knowledge Required
- Strong proficiency with current PM platforms including Monday.com, JIRA, Wrike, or ZOHO Projects
- Experience with Office O365, Excel, and budgeting tools
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate & Power Apps) is a plus
- Experience with AI technologies for automated workflows, task generation/collection, or streamlining processes is a plus
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people at both a functional and technical level and communicate at a level appropriate to audience; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Strong written and verbal communication skills
Waterfall and Agile experience is a plus.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
