Fuel Supply & Distribution Intern

Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Base Camp Headquarters)
Pay: $15.00/hour for Bachelor's Program, $21.00/hour for Master's Program
Hours: 30–40 hours/week
Dates: June – August 2026 Supervisor: Director of Fuels Supply

As a Fuels Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience within Maverik’s fuel supply and distribution operations while contributing to a meaningful reporting optimization initiative that supports daily business decisions. This internship provides the opportunity to enhance a critical supply and demand balance report used by the Fuels team, improving efficiency, flexibility, and data integration across systems. Key Project You’ll Support Fuel Supply & Demand Reporting Optimization Initiative 

• Evaluate and redesign the current supply and demand balance report to improve usability and functionality
• Incorporate additional data sources to enhance accuracy and decision-making
• Improve report flexibility to support both daily operational use and contract analysis
• Explore opportunities to integrate the reporting structure into Maverik’s supply management software system
• Provide recommendations to streamline reporting workflows and improve long-term scalability

Final deliverables will include an updated, enhanced reporting tool and a summary of recommendations and improvements implemented during the internship. Additional Hands-On Exposure

• Gain exposure to the role of a Fuel Distribution Manager
• Learn how fuel supply contracts are structured and analyzed
• Support KPI reporting and understand performance tracking within the Fuels department
• Observe supply management processes and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to applicants who reside in Utah, as this is an on-site opportunity based at our headquarters
• A full-time college student who has completed their sophomore year by the start of the internship
• Currently enrolled at an accredited university
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong communication skills and reading comprehension
• Ability to analyze and summarize complex information
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Strong Excel skills (data modeling, formulas, pivot tables preferred)
• Interest in supply chain, operations, or data analysis
