Join our vibrant souvenir store as a Sales Associate, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused mindset will create memorable experiences for visitors from around the world. In this lively role, you’ll serve as the friendly face of our store, helping guests discover unique keepsakes while ensuring smooth operations. Your energy and passion for hospitality will drive sales, foster guest satisfaction, and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere that visitors will remember long after their visit. You will be trained by a manager that will not be at that location. The goal is to get trained and open the location and possibly run it in winter and continue thru to season. Pay can be discussed at time of hire.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting souvenirs, explaining product features, and answering questions with enthusiasm
- Manage cash handling accurately during transactions, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the store to ensure an inviting environment
- Promote special events or promotions to boost sales and engage visitors
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns promptly, resolving conflicts with professionalism and patience
- Support store operations by restocking shelves, arranging displays, and managing inventory
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Experience in events management or hosting engaging activities is a plus
- Ability to manage conflicts effectively and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Excellent communication skills for public speaking or guiding tours if needed
- Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system proficiency
- Previous experience in hospitality, resort environments, or food service enhances guest interaction capabilities
