Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to understand their needs, and provide tailored recommendations on gardening supplies, landscaping tools, floral arrangements, and outdoor maintenance products.
• Assist customers with product selection, demonstrate features, and answer questions about lawn care, landscape maintenance, and horticulture techniques.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and returns.
• Maintain well-stocked shelves by organizing merchandise, replenishing inventory, and implementing effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility.
• Support store cleanliness by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is inviting and accessible at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages if applicable, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals through proactive engagement and suggestive selling of related products like floral design materials or gardening tools.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or floral design is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures ensures smooth transactions.
• Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are an advantage for serving diverse customers.
• Organizational skills to manage stocking duties efficiently while maintaining a tidy store environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed.
• A proactive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to connect with customers and team members alike.
