Responsibilities
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Be a team player and work with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure quality dishes are being served to each and every guest
- Clean up duties as assigned after each shift and throughout the week to keep kitchen up to excellent level of cleanliness
- Stock inventory and keep items in an organized fashion to ensure first in, first out order
- Maintain a positive and professional working environment for the rest of the kitchen staff and FOH staff
Skills
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good communication skills
Qualifications
- Food preparation and cooking skills
- Min 1 year cooking experience in food service and handling
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience
- Culinary background with knowledge of meal preparation
- Strong communication skills
- Understanding of sanitation practices
- Knife skills and fine dining experience are a plus
-Must be able to work on your feet in a fast-paced environment
-Be able to work under pressure and in hot/cold areas of the kitchen
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $19.00 per hour
