Mavericks Montauk is seeking Bussers and Food Runners. We strive to provide friendly, knowledgeable and professional service with a genuine sense of hospitality along with a desire to place the guest experience at the forefront of each encounter.
The Food Runner & Busser will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations in the dining room. As a Food Runner, you will be responsible for delivering dishes from the kitchen to the dining room with precision, ensuring that every plate arrives at the correct table in a timely manner. As a Busser, you will assist with maintaining a clean and organized dining area, helping to reset tables quickly between guests, and supporting the front-of-house staff to provide the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guest tables with accuracy, ensuring each dish is properly presented.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly.
- Assist servers in ensuring that guests' needs are met and provide excellent service throughout the meal.
- Maintain a clean and organized dining room by bussing tables, resetting, and keeping the dining area free of clutter.
- Ensure that utensils, glassware, and napkins are clean and readily available.
- Assist with running beverages and refills when needed.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the menu, including specials, to be able to answer basic guest inquiries.
- Monitor the dining area for any spills, clutter, or other issues that may arise.
- Support the team by helping with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a fine dining environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to lift and carry trays, food, and glassware.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and move efficiently around the dining area.
- A positive, professional attitude with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
