About the Role
As a Senior Manufacturing Lead, you will serve as a pivotal link between production strategy and floor execution, ensuring that assembly processes meet rigorous quality and safety standards. You will guide team workflows, troubleshoot equipment issues, and champion continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Direct daily production activities by assigning tasks, removing operational bottlenecks, and ensuring adherence to manufacturing schedules.
- Maintain strict compliance with GMP, SOPs, and regulatory documentation to uphold product integrity and patient safety.
- Execute complex assembly and packaging operations while maintaining high levels of precision and technical documentation accuracy.
- Perform proactive equipment monitoring and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize process capability.
- Facilitate team development by providing hands-on training, onboarding new staff, and identifying cross-training opportunities.
- Drive site efficiency through the application of Lean manufacturing principles, 5S organization, and waste reduction strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments including Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues and maintain material flow.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or assembly environment.
- Proven ability to lead small teams, coordinate workflows, and make critical operational decisions.
- Proficiency in reading technical work instructions and utilizing basic computer systems for documentation.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, EHS protocols, and quality control standards.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in a formal leadership, training, or team lead capacity.
- Background in regulated industries such as medical device manufacturing (FDA QSR/ISO 13485).
- Familiarity with ERP software and interpreting technical blueprints or specifications.
