Manufacturing Floor Lead

As a Manufacturing Floor Lead, you will oversee daily production operations, ensuring that your team meets safety, quality, and output goals. You will leverage your leadership skills and technical aptitude to drive process improvements, manage equipment performance, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous growth.

• Direct and mentor production staff to ensure workflows remain on schedule while adhering to company standards.
• Optimize daily machine assignments and labor allocation to maximize production efficiency and meet operational targets.
• Champion a culture of safety and compliance by ensuring all team members follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols.
• Monitor equipment health and production speeds, proactively identifying and resolving mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Analyze production data and waste metrics to develop and implement corrective action plans that improve overall plant performance.
• Facilitate team development through consistent training, constructive feedback, and clear communication of performance expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to align shift objectives and support broader plant-wide initiatives.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of proven supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex process issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for record-keeping and data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to make rapid, accurate decisions regarding product quality and safety.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Prior background in high-speed packaging operations.
• Proven track record of managing diverse teams and driving employee development.
