Grind Machinist

As a Grind Machinist, your primary objective is to configure and manage diverse grinding machinery, ensuring all output aligns precisely with technical blueprints and operational directives.

This role is situated at our Warsaw, IN facility and requires availability for either the 2nd or 3rd shift.

• Manage grinding machinery to execute production tasks following defined operational standards.
• Configure equipment setups by strictly adhering to provided technical drawings and specifications.
• Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and comparators to verify that parts meet AQL standards and quality requirements.
• Resolve dimensional discrepancies and provide verification for setups performed by fellow team members.
• Ensure inventory accuracy by tracking finished and rejected components, while documenting production data within the internal system.
• Help maintain a safe and compliant working environment by following all organizational policies.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

• Proficiency in utilizing depth micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and standard micrometers.
• Capacity to analyze and translate technical blueprints and operation sheets into actionable production steps.
• Familiarity with G and M programming codes.
• Solid technical aptitude for computer systems.
• Strong communication skills to foster positive team interactions.
• Ability to maintain high productivity with minimal oversight.
• Physical capability to lift and transport loads up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to sustain physical activity, including standing and walking, for full eight-hour shifts.
• Flexibility to support production needs through regular overtime.
• Completion of a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
