Clinical Supervisor

Job Description:  Maverick Psychotherapy Group is looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a Clinical Supervisor position.  A Clinical Supervisor is an experienced mental health professional who provides direct clinical services to clients and oversees the clinical work of 5-8 MPG  mental health professionals. A Clinical Supervisor ensures the delivery of best practice and high-quality mental health service and care to MPG clients. In this role, a Clinical Supervisor provides group supervision, individual supervision which includes clinical and administrative guidance, case consultations to other MPG psychotherapists as needed, and assesses and addresses client risks, crises and/or emergencies of psychotherapists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide weekly individual clinical supervision for 5-8 clinicians
• Facilitate weekly clinical group supervision
• Assess and support psychotherapists in managing client risk, crises, and emergencies
• Maintain accurate supervision notes and other required documentation
• Review and approve all supervisees’ documentation 
• Attend weekly individual clinical/supervisor supervision
• Attend supervisory team meetings
• Assist in interviewing and evaluating potential hires as assigned by leadership

• Maintain a caseload of approximately 14-17 clients per week
• Provide individual, couples, and/or family psychotherapy using a range of therapeutic approaches 
• Conduct initial mental health assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans
• Monitor client progress, adjust treatment strategies, and provide ongoing psychotherapy
• Assess and address client mental health risk, crisis and/or emergency
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation

 Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work
• Valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensure in the state of NY
• Minimum 5 years of direct clinical experience post masters in clinical social work 
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience of clinicians and/or Master’s level (MSW, MHC, MFT) interns

Employment Classification: Full-time, exempt salaried employee

Location: Woodstock and/or Kingston, NY or Remote or Remote/In-person Hybrid

Reports to: MPG Leadership Team

Manages: 5-8 Psychotherapists 

Compensation: $85,000 per year (after an up to 90 day adjusted salary of $55,000 period to build a supervisory/clinical caseload and administrative duties of at least 20 hours).

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Light to moderate lifting may be required, up to 15 pounds 
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, and phone 
• Specific vision abilities are required to see a computer monitor 

Working Conditions:

• Work from home location or from MPG’s office based on the needs of clients
• Occasional travel to an office environment, meetings, events, and various functions as needed
• Additional evening or weekend hours may occasionally be required for emergencies or special projects
