We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Sales Specialist to join our sales team. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, building meaningful relationships, and creating an outstanding shopping experience. We're looking for professional salespeople with a strong sense of personal style, confidence in selling, and a genuine appreciation for western fashion and lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every customer with a warm, professional greeting and provide exceptional service throughout their shopping experience.
- Build relationships with customers by asking thoughtful questions, demonstrating products, recommending complementary merchandise, and confidently closing sales.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our products, brands, promotions, store events, and company policies to accurately assist customers.
- Stay current on western fashion trends, product knowledge, and industry developments.
- Develop and maintain a customer contact program through phone calls, direct mail, and personal outreach to encourage repeat business.
- Notify customers promptly when special orders or out-of-stock merchandise arrives.
- Accurately operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process transactions.
- Shape hats, take measurements for custom hats, and process custom hat orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing sales floor.
- Follow all company safety policies and help maintain a safe environment for customers and team members.
- Respond appropriately during emergency situations by following company procedures.
- Attend all required monthly store meetings and training sessions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by store management.
Qualifications
- Passion for customer service and sales with a customer-first mindset.
- Professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Bonus if fluent in Spanish.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly climb one flight of stairs and occasionally climb two flights.
- Ability to safely use ladders or step stools to retrieve or replace merchandise.
- Ability to use tools to retrieve hat boxes stored on high shelves.
- Ability to climb into and out of window displays to arrange merchandise.
- Ability to perform general housekeeping duties, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and cleaning.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
