What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trader Summer Internship Chicago 2026 position at mavensecuritiesholdingltd?
As a Trader Intern, you will complete a 9 week training programme in Options Market Making run by our traders. Throughout the internship you will gain insight into the work of our market making desks whilst having the opportunity to get to know us at our regular social events. At the end of the internship, you will be considered for a place on our Chicago Graduate Trader Programme, starting in September 2026.
We are looking for candidates from any quantitative background with a competitive nature and a strong understanding of probability and statistics to join our team for the summer. The programme will run from 8th June 2026 - 7th August 2026.
What we are looking for:
- Strong numeracy and a good understanding of probability and statistics
- Competitive nature with a curiosity to learn with a keen interest in financial markets
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to solve problems creatively
- Good communication skills and drive to work collaboratively
- A final year student, or recent graduate, with a bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field

Total Compensation Range: $110,000 - $120,000
