Summary of Position:
Loads, unloads, and moves materials used in the production of plastic containers. Loads trucks for shipment to the customer. Unloads trucks for placement in the warehouse. Helps to coordinate the loading of all shipments for the day and future loads. Insures proper housekeeping of warehouse. Assists and direct Shift Drivers as needed. Directs with the orderly placement of product in warehouse. Participates in physical inventory activities.

Responsibilities
- Leads with safety in all areas of facility.
- Reads work orders or follows instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Can demonstrate the safe operation of a lift truck and possess a valid motor license.
- Moves materials from storage or work site to designated area.
- Stacks finished product neatly in warehouse with no damage and ensure good housekeeping practices as directed by the warehouse lead shippers.
- Ensures that the warehouse is kept in order according to housekeeping guidelines.
- Ensures that all fork lift PM and are filled out daily and that the equipment is in proper working condition.
- Participates in the segregation and identification of non-conforming product.
- Ensures that loads are dispatched in a timely manner with forward looking of staged items.
- Helps with the negotiation of freight rates.
- Forklift maintenance.
- Will load and or unload trailers according to pack docs and load docs and ensure that the other members of the warehouse are doing the same.
- Keeps informed of the latest OSHA and related safety procedures for the proper operating of the forklift.
- Follows all known safety procedures for the safe handling of the forklift.
- Operates tow motor or forklift to assist in loading materials and products.
- Responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse.
- Directs Warehouse personnel and assigns duties to all members of the warehouse.
- Responsible for warehouse organization and housekeeping.
- Serves as back up for scheduling outbound and inbound freight
- Informs purchasing of raw materials that are running low and oversees stocking of raw materials.
- Investigates and answers any customer complaints related to the warehouse.
- Directs placement of product in the warehouse on a daily basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
- Ensures all raw materials and Finished goods are located in the proper location.
- Follows all procedures related to the proper loading and unloading of trucks.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and convey instructions or information.
- Must be able to give direction and instructions to others.
- Must have basic math skills
- Ability to work with units of weight measurement, volume and size.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- A basic knowledge of the trucking industry and how it works.
- Attention to detail.
- Organizational skills
