Job Overview
Mausbach Grounds Maintenance is seeking an experienced and dependable Mow Crew Lead / Snow Plow Driver to support our commercial and residential operations year-round. This position plays a critical role in delivering consistent, high-quality service while leading field crews and operating company equipment safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and accountability, with a strong background in lawn maintenance and winter snow operations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Landscape Maintenance Season (Spring–Fall):
- Lead and oversee a mowing crew across assigned residential and commercial properties
- Operate commercial lawn care equipment, including zero-turn mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and scheduled timelines
- Supervise, train, and motivate crew members
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Communicate job progress, concerns, and site conditions to management
Snow & Ice Management Season (Winter):
- Operate plow trucks and other snow removal equipment as assigned
- Perform snow and ice control services during scheduled and emergency events
- Maintain readiness for on-call snow operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ensure safety and efficiency while servicing client properties
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience leading a lawn care or landscaping crew
- Experience with snow plowing or winter maintenance equipment preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasonal demand
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
Preferred Experience
- Commercial property maintenance experience
- Prior supervisory or crew leadership role
- Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance knowledge
- Familiarity with route schedules and job documentation
