ABOUT THE UNIT:

Our unit prepares patients for surgeries in disciplines such as orthopedics, gynecology, ear, nose and throat (ENT), general surgery, urology, neurology, vascular, and plastics. We are at the forefront of outpatient surgery that focuses on discharging patients on the same day, including complex procedures like total joint replacements. The department also supports the Endoscopy Unit, managing pre- and post-care for procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs. With a focus on patient education and efficient recovery, our team works to ensure a smooth transition from surgery to home. We are unique in the region for offering scheduled outpatient endoscopy services on Saturdays, providing flexible care options for our community.
Same Day Surgery and Pre/Post Endoscopy are closed for scheduled outpatient procedures on holidays and Sunday and there is no on-call requirement.
