Qualifications:
- Current Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate endorsements
- Valid driver's license
- 5-7 years of work-related experience
- Intermediate computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
Job Goals:
Collaborate with school staff district-wide to plan and provide behavior-related services for students with autism and supports for students with disabilities and staff in Comprehensive Developmental Classroom (CDC) settings.
Job Duties:
- Serve as a consultant to school staff concerning behavioral issues occurring with students with disabilities
- Conduct functional behavior assessments when appropriate
- Facilitate the development of behavior intervention plans and provide student-specific training to school staff on implementation fidelity
- Collaborate with district personnel and school teams to recommend appropriate placements for students with severe cognitive and adaptive behavior deficits
- Assist in training school staff in proper de-escalation, and restraint/isolation techniques
- Assist in developing and providing professional development for building-level staff in related field
- Address parent, student, teacher, and administrator questions and attends IEP meetings as appropriate
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Salary : $50,006 - $89,915
