We are seeking a hands-on Sales Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive revenue growth, expand distribution, and strengthen relationships with current customers, distributors & sales brokers while representing the passion and authentic spirit behind our brand.
Role Description
As our Sales Manager, you’ll help write the next chapter of Mauro Provisions. You’ll build and execute a smart, hungry sales strategy across retail, foodservice, and wholesale—finding the right shops, restaurants, distributors, and partners who share our love of big flavors and Chicago-style hospitality. You’ll chase new opportunities, set targets, track wins, and keep leadership in the loop. Just as important: you’ll strengthen relationships with the amazing network of brokers, distributors and grocery chains we already have through check-ins, store visits, quick responses, and rock-solid support. You’ll also work closely with our distributor partners to make sure our products stay top-of-mind and that new SKUs hit the market smoothly.
You’ll help bring the Mauro Provisions brand to life out in the world—at tastings, trade shows, festivals, and any place where great food and great people come together. You’ll partner with marketing on promotions, merchandising, and seasonal programs that make our products pop on the shelf and in the kitchen. And because this is a true team effort, you’ll collaborate with production, logistics, and inventory to forecast demand and make sure every order lands on time and in perfect shape. Along the way, you’ll keep our CRM tight, our data clean, and share the insights that help us grow smarter and launch the next wave of killer Mauro Provisions products.
Qualifications
• 3–5 years of sales experience in food, specialty retail, or CPG — you know how to sell great products to great people.
• A passion for food, premium ingredients, and market trends. If you know your giardiniera from your muffuletta mix, that’s a big plus.
• Proven success growing accounts and landing new customers — you love the chase and the follow-through.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; you’re the kind of person people want to take a meeting with.
• Comfortable working in a small, scrappy, fast-moving team where every win matters.
• Ability to travel regionally for customer visits, events, festivals, and trade shows. (A car is a must.)
• Self-motivated and goal-driven — you can run with big ideas and make things happen without hand-holding.
