Position: Personal Care Assistant (1:1), Elementary School, Temporary Support Staff (Anticipated)
Location: Maureen M. Welch Elementary
Available: 2026/2027 SY
Hours/Schedule: 7.0 hours/day; 5 days/week; 182 days per year (Benefit Eligible)
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Ability to implement student-specific health, safety, behavior, and crisis intervention plans under the direction of certified staff.
- High School diploma or GED required.
REQUIRED PAPERWORK: In order to begin employment in any PA public school, all employees are required to complete mandatory paperwork. Background employment clearances must be completed within the last year to be valid and include:
- PA State Police Clearance (Act 34)
- Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151)
- FBI Fingerprints (Act 114) IndentoGo
Some additional paperwork includes Arrest/Conviction Report form, PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure (Act 168), physician’s health form and recently completed TB test.
