What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand, Product & Design position at Mauralink?
Mauralink is a compatibility assessment platform for managers and employees. Eight scales, forty-eight items, real science underneath. We're pre-revenue, moving fast toward pilot, and we need someone who can make the product feel as thoughtful as the psychology behind it.
What you'll do
Build Mauralink's visual identity from the ground up — brand, product UI, and the full digital experience. We want a warm, human aesthetic: hand-drawn illustrations and icons, not stock graphics or AI-generated imagery. Think Anthropic's design language — intentional, distinctive, crafted by hand. You'll also sit in on customer and UX interviews, shape how users experience assessment results, and translate cognitive science into interfaces people actually understand.
You, specifically
- Graphic design experience with a portfolio that proves it. We'll judge mostly on the work.
- Hand-drawn illustration skills — you sketch, you ink, you have a style.
- Comfortable using AI tools in your workflow. Not optional. We build AI-powered products and expect our team to work the same way.
- UX/UI experience — you've shipped screens, not just mockups.
- Comfortable conducting or participating in customer interviews and usability sessions.
- Understanding of cognitive science — you know how people perceive, decide, and interpret.
- Pursuing or holding a Bachelor's in Cognitive Science (senior standing minimum).
Nice to have
- Experience with early-stage products where you define the design system, not inherit one.
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS or HR tech.
- Opinion on how to visualize psychometric data without making people's eyes glaze over.
To apply
Send your portfolio. That's the thing that matters most. Include a brief note on why Mauralink interests you and one example of hand-drawn work you're proud of.
