The base salary for this position is $33.28 hourly.
Operates, services, and repairs the varied components of an irrigation system and performs related tasks as required, under supervision, but with some latitude for independent judgment.

Operates, services, and repairs the varied components of an irrigation system and performs related tasks as required, under supervision, but with some latitude for independent judgment.
- Operates, maintains, and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks in distribution lines, valves, risers, control lines, and sprinkler heads.
- Maintains, programs, and repairs the master and satellite controllers, and electrical panels.
- Repairs, operates, and maintains lake levels, wells, irrigation pumps, and pumping stations. Periodically, inspects the various components of the irrigation system to ensure proper operation.
- Operates various types of equipment needed for repairs to irrigation systems.
- Keeps maintenance work area in a clean, safe working environment at all times and meets all HIOSH requirements.
- Records and reports the daily readings of meters, gauges, lake levels and water flow readings.
- Reads and understands irrigation blueprints and interprets legends.
