POSITION AVAILABLE:
District Office Receptionist & Communications Secretary (12 months, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
INITIAL BUILDING ASSIGNMENT:Administration Building
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Minimum of five years of successful receptionist or administrative office support experience.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong grammar and proofreading abilities.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, or comparable design/layout software; ability to learn and apply district software systems.
Ability to work independently, manage frequent interruptions, and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Be proficient in operating standard office equipment and troubleshooting minor technology issues.
Strong attendance record and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The District Receptionist & Communications Secretary serves as the first point of contact for the Maumee City Schools community. This position provides high-quality customer service to visitors and callers, performs front-office operations, and provides administrative support to the Director of Communications & Federal Programs. This role requires professionalism, discretion, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
COMPENSATION: $19 - $26 / per hour (Starting wage based on experience and qualifications)
