We are seeking an experienced International Tax Senior Associate to serve as a technical and managerial linchpin within our global tax practice. In this role, you will act as a critical bridge between high-level strategic planning and granular technical execution, helping our international clients navigate the complexities of cross-border transactions. You will be responsible for the review and delivery of U.S. international tax services and ensuring rigorous compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Preparation, Review & Compliance: Prepare and review international information returns, including Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 1042 series, 8804/5, 8833, 2555, 8938, and FBAR
- Regulatory Advocacy: Research complex tax issues and draft technical memoranda or responses to inquiries from the IRS
- Tax Planning & Strategy: Advise clients on international tax structuring, income tax treaty planning, and the tax aspects of M&A projects.
- Controversy Advocacy: Advise clients on options to voluntarily file delinquent or missing international-related information returns and FBARs.
- Engagement Management: Act as the "in-charge" professional for specific workstreams, managing project workflows, resource requirements, and firm quality standards
- Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, train, and mentor junior associates and interns
- Education: Masters in Tax/Accounting or JD is required
- Professional Certification: Active CPA license (or commitment to pass before becoming Manager) or member of a state bar association is required
- Experience: 3–5 years of tax compliance/consulting experience, focused mostly on international tax
- Prior experience in a large public accounting firm (Big 4 or mid-tier), law firm, or corporate tax department preferred
- Regulatory Knowledge: Broad proficiency in U.S. international tax principles, including:
- Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, TCJA and OBBBA provisions
- Inbound and outbound issues
- FDAP, ECI, and partnership withholding tax issues
- Income, totalization, estate & gift tax treaties
- Expats and inpats
- Streamlined offshore procedures and delinquent disclosure procedures
- Tax Technology: Proficiency in tax return preparation and tax research software.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and "what-if" scenario analysis for international tax consequences of client activities and transactions.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills to translate complex tax jargon into actionable intelligence for non-financial stakeholders.
