MauiFed is seeking a full-time Member Associate to join our team. Help us to meet our mission towards building financial relationships with members to enhance their future and support our vision to inspire members to think of MauiFed first for all their financial services.

Job Description
Guided by our tagline, “Making it happen,” the Member Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks including providing exceptional member service, processing member transactions accurately and efficiently, helping resolve member concerns in a timely fashion, and identifying Credit Union products and services that will help to improve the financial lives of our members.

The Member Associate position will also be responsible for specific back-office duties and other tasks as assigned. We are looking for a candidate who is a team player, takes pride in balancing their cash drawer daily, and enjoys building genuine rapport with our members.

Responsibilities

  • Member Service: Provide professional, friendly service while accurately and efficiently processing member transactions.
  • Problem Solving: Assist members with account inquiries and resolve concerns in a timely, professional manner.
  • Financial Relationship Building: Identify and recommend Credit Union products and services that align with the member's financial needs.
  • Accountability: Maintain and balance a cash drawer daily and adhere to all internal security and balancing procedures.
  • Back-Office Support: Perform assigned administrative duties and assist the branch team with daily operations as needed.
  • Compliance: Complies with and adheres to Credit Union policies and procedures as well as legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • General knowledge of Teller/Member Associate operations and procedures is helpful but not required.
  • A strong willingness to learn and understand Credit Union operations.

Skills and Abilities

  • Professional appearance, courteous manner, and a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional time management, communication, and member service skills.
  • High level of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to operate business equipment including adding machines, coin/money counting machines, and telephone systems.
  • Proficient typing and 10-key skills.
  • The ability to handle all confidential matters professionally, always maintaining the privacy of our member’s account information with integrity.
  • Cash handling experience and strong sales skills are a plus.
