Salary: up to $60,000
Maui County Federal Credit Union is offering a $1000 sign-on bonus for a full-time Training & Development Specialist. The right candidate should have excellent human relations and the ability to train and assist others. Professionalism and excellent communication skills are vital to the successful execution of this position, as well as a thorough understanding of training systems, media and materials.

The right candidate will also help to support our Vision Statement: To be the financial institution of choice by individuals throughout Maui County.
Position Purpose:
Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and conducting training activities throughout the credit union. Identifies training needs and designs and maintains support materials including audio-visual aids, computer presentations, manuals, workbooks, and scripts. Evaluates and enhances existing training programs and makes recommendations for improvement. This position reviews, analyzes and evaluates business processes and user needs to improve/organize standard operating procedures and to ensure consistency throughout the credit union.
Essential Functions & Basic Duties:
1. Develop and implement effective training policies, procedures and programs.
2. Effective and efficient completion of training functions.
3. Ensure that professional business relations exist with members, volunteers, vendors, and trade professionals.
4. Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with Credit Union personnel and with management.
5. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in organizational communication or organizational development.
2. Ability to learn and apply learned skills
3. Understanding of job functions and operations at all levels of the credit union
4. Thorough knowledge of teller and member service operations
5. Knowledge of training systems and resources
6. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs required
Experience Required:
1. At least one year experience as a senior teller or equivalent
2. Training experience preferred
3. Loan experience preferred

1. Strong leadership and supervisory skills
2. Ability to plan, develop and implement training programs

4. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing with members, peers and managers
