Mechanic C- 1st shift 6:00-2:30

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive 

maintenance on a variety of production equipment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm

• Ensure the smooth operation of machinery in the department by completing preventive maintenance.
• Performs mechanical skills including but not limited to electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting/repair. 
• May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. 
• Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to sounds to locate cause of trouble. 
• Study blueprints or manuals to determine the correct way to re-install parts.  
• Communicate timeframe for repairs to operators, department supervisors, and/or management.  
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Experience:

2 plus years of experience in Maintenance within a production environment.

Certifications:

LOTO authorized training required upon hire.

Other Requirements:

Ability to read blueprints.
 PLC knowledge a plus.
 Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics required.  

Knowledge of general machine shop practice required.

Basic PC skills – Microsoft Outlook, Excel,  Word

Welding experience preferred.
