Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm to set a positive tone for their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Process cash and card transactions accurately, including handling cash register operations and sales transaction processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service stations, and adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation when necessary and support the team in maintaining a smooth flow during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars
- Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for efficient order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and handle diverse needs professionally
- Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items including wine, spirits, cocktails, and other beverages to boost sales
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods without compromising service quality
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, change handling, and inventory management
- Beverage expertise including cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service techniques
