What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maude Kerns Art Center Instructor - Multiple Mediums position at Maude Kerns Art Center?
Maude Kerns Art Center is looking for dynamic Art Instructors for to join our teaching team! The Art Center offers a variety of courses for Youth (ages 6-11), Young Adults (ages 14-17), and Adults (18 & up). Our Summer Term consists of one day a week classes for 8 weeks, beginning September 28th - November 20th. This is a good opportunity to gain teaching experience, and work with aspiring artists, and become a part of the arts community of Eugene.
We are currently in need of teaching artists working in the following mediums:
- Hand building with Clay
- Pastels
- Beginning Drawing
- Watercolor
- Acrylic Painting
- Gouache
- Figure Painting
- Figure Drawing
- Pen & Ink
- Beginning Procreate
- Intro to Markers
- Private Art Lessons (typically Drawing & Painting)
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent amount of experience in the related arts field
- Experience managing groups of People
- Experience developing curriculum (preferred)
- Expericence with teaching (preferred)
- Good communication Skills
