What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Spider position at Maud Borup Inc?
Responsibilities: Must have computer/Net Suite experience.
1. Move raw materials from the warehouse to the production floor as requested by Production, ensuring first in, first out. Enter moves into the inventory tracking system.
2. Move Finished Goods from the production floor to the warehouse as they are completed. Enter moves into the inventory tracking system.
3. Move remaining components from the production floor to the warehouse when production is finished with them. Enter moves into the inventory tracking system. Re-do pallet tags with new information.
4. Pull components for samples and ship samples as requested.
5. Load and unload inventory from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and production areas.
6. Store product in assigned locations based on status (i.e., Hold, Organic, Gluten Free, etc.). Enter moves into the inventory tracking system.
7. Inspects trucks or trailers to ensure they meet requirements. Document results and report to Warehouse Manager as needed.
8. Uses necessary controls, procedures, and operating plans to attain maximum efficiency and productivity.
9. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, shipping, safety and health requirements and company policies and procedures.
10. Assist in controlling inventory levels by conducting physical inventory and cycle counts: reconciling with inventory tracking system.
11. Maintains physical conditions of workplace by cleaning, proper storage, inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs.
12. Assists with the recycling program and coordination of the scrap operation.
13. Assists with stretch wrapping pallet process ensuring product is encased for safe shipping.
14. Is familiar with SQF Food Safety standards. Is responsible for reporting food safety issues immediately. Must have computer/Net Suite experience.
15. Knowledge and procedures, work instructions, and associated paperwork as required.
Requirements:
- Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing techniques.
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices, company operations, and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to effectively communicate in written, verbal, and interpersonal levels with coworkers.
- Goal oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines related to position.
- Proficient Computer skills.
- Knowledge of SQF Food Safety requirements and continuous improvement methods.
- Good physical condition required for lifting, walking, pulling, bending over, and climbing.
- Must be safety conscious and comply with safety rules and regulations.
- Warehouse and forklift experience desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Strong physical abilities. Requires the ability to move about the facility (plant and office) and communicate with employees as well as Management and be able to operate material handling equipment.
