What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler – 2nd Shift position at Maud Borup Inc?
Status: Full-Time | Food Manufacturing
Pay: $17.75 – $18.00 per hour (based on experience)
We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Material Handler to support production by ensuring materials flow accurately and efficiently throughout the facility. This role is essential to maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, and a safe warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate material flow between warehouse and production areas using NetSuite or similar inventory software
Execute FIFO processes to ensure product rotation and traceability
Transfer finished goods to assigned warehouse locations and update inventory records
Return unused components to proper storage areas and apply updated pallet tags when needed
Pull, package, and ship sample orders upon request
Load and unload trailers, delivery trucks, and pallets safely and efficiently
Store product according to status requirements (Hold, Organic, Gluten-Free, etc.)
Perform routine trailer inspections and communicate issues to Warehouse Management
Support productivity by following proper safety and material handling procedures
Conduct cycle counts and physical inventory to verify inventory accuracy
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, proper storage, and equipment condition
Assist with recycling and scrap coordination
Operate stretch wrap equipment to prepare loads for secure shipment
Uphold SQF Food Safety standards and immediately report potential issues
Follow work instructions, SOPs, and required documentation procedures
What You Bring
Forklift or material handling experience preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, or manufacturing
Proficient computer skills; NetSuite experience highly preferred
Ability to communicate clearly and work well with others
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with GMPs, SQF, and continuous improvement a plus
Able to perform physical activities including lifting, walking, bending, and pulling
