Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Vehicle Inspector/Marker to join our vehicle logistics yard team. In this vital role, you will ensure the accurate inspection, marking, and movement of vehicles within our yard. Your energetic approach will help maintain safety standards, streamline vehicle flow, and support the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. This person must be detail-oriented Load Coordinator (internally referred to as a Vehicle Marker) to accurately audit, mark, and route incoming motor vehicles to their designated ocean freight containers.

The Vehicle Marker is responsible for inspecting, identifying, documenting, and accurately marking vehicles received at the warehouse for export. This position ensures that all vehicles are properly identified, photographed, labeled, and prepared for storage and shipment in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and safety standard

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect vehicles upon arrival at the warehouse.
• Verify vehicle information, including VIN, make, model, year, and color.
• Confirm receipt of required documentation, including titles, auction invoices, and keys.
• Apply vehicle markings, labels, and identification tags according to company procedures.
• Conduct visual inspections and document any existing damage.
• Take and upload clear and accurate vehicle photographs for customer records and internal systems.
• Ensure all vehicle information is entered correctly into the company's operating system.
• Maintain vehicle inventory accuracy and location tracking within the warehouse and yard.
• Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding vehicle placement and movement.
• Assist in locating vehicles for container loading, inspections, and customer requests.
• Report discrepancies, missing documentation, damages, or inventory issues to management immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
• Participate in daily safety meetings, stretching programs, and operational briefings.

• Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive repair or auto body work
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle-related tasks
• Prior experience in vehicle maintenance or auto restoration is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail to accurately mark and inspect vehicles
• Mechanic experience or automotive service background is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse, automotive, logistics, or freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle makes, models, and VIN identification.
• Ability to operate a smartphone, tablet, or computer for documentation purposes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles repeatedly throughout the workday.

Work Environment

• Warehouse and outdoor yard environment.
• Exposure to moving vehicles, forklifts, and heavy equipment.
• Requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
