What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Worker position at Mattress and Furniture Clearance Center?
We are looking for a dependable, hardworking team member to assist with building furniture, testing appliances, maintaining a clean showroom and warehouse, unloading delivery trucks, and helping create an organized, attractive shopping experience for our customers. This position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assemble furniture according to manufacturer specifications.
- Test washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, and other appliances to ensure proper operation before they are placed on the sales floor.
- Clean, detail, and prepare furniture and appliances for display.
- Maintain a clean, organized showroom, warehouse, and work areas.
- Set up new showroom displays and merchandising.
- Rearrange furniture and appliances to keep the showroom fresh and inviting.
- Safely unload semi-trucks and delivery trailers.
- Move heavy furniture and appliances throughout the warehouse and showroom using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage or missing parts.
- Wrap, stage, and prepare sold merchandise for customer pickup or delivery.
- Assist customers with loading purchases when needed.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other warehouse and showroom duties as assigned.
- Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry heavy merchandise.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Work in both showroom and warehouse environments.
- Ability to safely unload trucks and move inventory throughout the day.
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
