Job Title: Warehouse Team Lead
Reporting Relationship: Warehouse Supervisor/Operations Director
Supervises: Warehouse Employees
Back up Support: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Team Lead ensures the shift is productive, accurate and safe. They are responsible for helping with planning, assigning, and assisting with the shifts workflow direction and accuracy. Team Lead should always be on the floor monitoring the workflow and assisting with the daily tasks as necessary, they will also provide guidance and direction to the work force. One of the primary responsibilities is on-the-job training. Lead according to organizations policies and applicable laws.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the workforce is productive and uses their time efficiently.
- Ensure that the team is working safely.
- Assist in training new hired employees and re-training current team members when needed
- Manage team members’ break and lunch times to ensure productivity is maintained and company policy is followed.
- Proactively previewing documents and explaining the uniqueness to the employee when assigning it to them. (Receiving lots, possible mixed pallets, outbound load order or any other special instructions.)
- Reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist team members with any issues that may arise throughout the day.
- Partner with Inventory when there are discrepancies to ensure the customer’s order is received correctly.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Coverage for Supervisor when off or in meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficient in Datex warehouse system
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Complete understanding of accurate inventory keeping
- Excellent Communication skills – good reading, writing and oral skills
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multi-tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer service skills
- The ability to operate all equipment
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Education
- 2 to 5 years of experience leading others
- Valid Driver’s License
- Forklift & Pallet Jack Certification
Salary : $35,295 - $47,193
