HSE EngineerThis role supports the organization’s health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure a safe workplace and compliance with applicable regulations. The HSE Engineer identifies hazards, conducts assessments, leads incident investigations, and provides training to strengthen safe work practices across office and production areas.Requirements of the HSE EngineerBachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related fieldExperience in an HSE role within manufacturing or industrial environmentsStrong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and related regulatory requirementsSkilled in hazard assessments, ergonomic reviews, and workplace inspectionsAbility to lead incident investigations and develop corrective actionsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Office; experience with safety software preferredProfessional certifications (GSP, ASP, CSP) are a plusResponsibilities of the HSE EngineerSupport and maintain company safety and environmental programs to ensure regulatory complianceConduct hazard assessments, risk evaluations, and ergonomic reviewsLead investigations for workplace injuries and near misses, identifying root causesMaintain accurate safety documentation and reports for compliance and internal useDevelop and deliver safety training for employees and departmentsConduct safety audits and recommend improvements to workplace practicesCollaborate with operations and engineering teams on safety-related initiativesParticipate in safety committee activities and promote a strong safety cultureFull Time, DIRECT HIREPay is $85,000 - $90,000 annually, based on experience*If you have an open application with Matthews Professional Employment, Inc., please express your interest in this position to your consultant*
