Screw Machine OperatorThis role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining screw machines to produce precision parts according to customer specifications. The operator will handle tooling changes, make offsets and adjustments during production runs, submit first piece samples, and ensure machines run efficiently and produce high-quality parts.Requirements of the Screw Machine Operator• Minimum 5 years of experience operating and maintaining screw machines (Davenport, Acme, multi-spindle, or similar).• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine and tooling issues.• Ability to read blueprints and follow control plans.• Ability to make quality and production decisions based on procedures and experience.Responsibilities of the Screw Machine Operator• Set up, operate, and maintain screw machines, ensuring production efficiency and quality.• Make offset changes, tooling adjustments, and minor machine repairs during production runs.• Submit first piece samples and documentation to Quality Control.• Verify tools, part numbers, and revision levels before production.• Collaborate with Plant Manager and Leads to resolve tooling or setup issues.• Follow control plans and blueprints to produce parts to exact specifications.• Attend meetings as required and comply with all safety and housekeeping rules.Schedule: Four 10-hour days, Friday overtime; 1st and 2nd shift available. *DIRECT HIRE*Pay: $25–$45 per hour depending on experience and skill.*If you have an open application with Matthews Professional Employment, Inc., please express your interest in this position to your consultant*
