The Sales Representative is responsible for selling company products and services within an assigned territory by developing leads, acquiring new customers, and strengthening relationships with existing accounts. This role requires a strong understanding of the company’s offerings and the ability to communicate their value effectively to customers.
- Identifies and researches prospective customers by leveraging diverse market‑intelligence sources to build a strong pipeline of qualified sales opportunities. (may include newspapers, business directories, industry publications, trade shows, online platforms, etc)
- Engage regularly with customers across the assigned territory to strengthen relationships, understand needs, and grow the business.
- Conducts product demonstrations to highlight key features and support the sales process.
- Issues pricing, credit terms, and sales contracts, and assists with credit applications and past‑due account collections.
- Provides customers with accurate delivery estimate or service completion timelines based on production schedules, and resource availability.
- Develops relationships with purchasing and other key decision makers to support account growth and retention.
- Delivers product specific instruction and coordinates customer onboarding and training to ensure effective use of products and services.
- Investigates and resolves delivery or service issues to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Consistently meets or exceeds assigned sales quotas through effective territory and account management.
- Promotes and sells the Merchandising System and related products, demonstrating features and value to customers.
- May represent the company at state and regional trade shows to generate leads and strengthen customer relationships.
- Prepares accurate reports on sales activities, business transactions, and expense submissions.
- Enters and maintains customer and sales data in the CRM or relevant systems to ensure data accuracy and visibility.
- Additional duties as assigned.
