POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports customer requirements by using SolidWorks to create part and assembly drawings, generates bills of materials.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Specialized training in SolidWorks or strong AutoCAD skills with willingness to learn SolidWorks.
- 2 years of design experience in a manufacturing environment
- Broad exposure to Sheetmetal Fabrication Technologies
- Detailed oriented
- Good Geometry skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Positive, enthusiastic approach to work
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Converts engineering concepts into solid models using SolidWorks.
- Creates part and assembly drawings and documentation on existing and new products.
- Ensure all design models, drawings and bills of materials are completed per requirements.
- Monitors progress of First Articles.
- Contributes to product planning in areas of expertise.
- Supports Sales, Manufacturing and Customers as needed.
- Communicate with and support management in a timely manner.
- Ensure Matthews’ quality policies and procedures are followed.
Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour
