Job Overview
We are looking for a process-driven and organized Tax Manager to join our team. This person will primarily perform tax-centered accounting and consulting services for our clients and training/implementation of related tasks with the team. About 50% of this person’s time will be spent preparing tax returns and about 50% spent reviewing the team’s returns. This role is a Coach-Player position, supporting the Organization as both an individual contributor and a manager. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with desires to learn and grow in the public tax accounting industry.

-Salary: $120K - $150K salary commensurate on experience

Responsibilities
- Client coordination and communication (phone, email, zoom)
- Reviewing, analyzing, and preparing client source documentation for data entry and organization
- Income Tax preparation
- Income Tax review and staff feedback
- Payroll Tax and reporting preparation
- Financial analysis and related services
- Manage client projects and day-to-day tasks
- Teach, train and develop staff
- Reconciliation of account and data activity for accuracy
- Maintain client confidentiality and secure processing
- Database management and general task organization to aid the team in meeting tax deadlines
- Training and facilitation of deadline related tasks with planning for the internal team
- Research and stay abreast of current tax law and changes
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor’s in accounting or other related field
- CPA, EA, or related career designation or related aspirations
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - particularly in Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Desire to learn and grow in the tax accounting field
- Great organizational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and under the pressure of deadlines
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
